Simpson v. Schweiker, 691 F.2d 966 (11th Cir. 1982).  In this case, Todd Johnson appealed, argued and had reversed district court and agency rulings which terminated Simpson's disability benefits without substantial evidence of improvement of his condition.  A congressional committee contacted Todd for assistance in drafting the revised agency termination guidelines flowing from the Simpson case.

 

Buffington v. Childers, 259 Ga. 179 (1989).  Cindy Johnson reversed a trial court grant of summary judgment in case involving construction of the terms of a will, and she obtained an order from the Georgia Supreme Court directing a grant of summary judgment for Buffington and the heirs.

 

Palmer v. State, 260 Ga. 330 (1990).  Cindy Johnson obtained a reversal of Palmer's conviction and a Georgia Supreme Court ruling limiting the application of the felony sex crime statute at issue.

 

Jameson v. Arrow Company, 75 F.3d 1528  (11th Cir. 1996) 70 Fair Empl Prac. Cas.(BNA) 153, 67 Empl. Prac. Dec. (CCH) p.43, 904 In the Jameson case, Todd and Cynthia Johnson represented the plaintiff and successfully appealed a District Court order.  Todd argued the case in the 11th circuit, and the circuit court reversed and ruled under the ADEA that Jameson was at least entitled to consideration for jobs which became available after a RIF of her senior employee job.

 

 Mathis v. Reichhold Chemicals, Inc., U.S.D.C. N.D.Ga., No. 4:92-CV-0096-HLM summ aff. at 78 F.3d 600 (11th Cir.1996) With a local physician as an expert and facing, one of  the country's chief defense toxicologists Todd and Cynthia Johnson prevailed at trial in this toxic tort case and won a Daubert hearing allowing a country doctor's testimony.  The 11th circuit summarily affirmed the Daubert ruling and the verdict on appeal.

 

Strange v. Henderson, 223 Ga. App. 218 (1996).  Todd Johnson defended a verdict for Henderson in a libel case where Strange claimed first amendment rights in slandering Henderson.

 

Bishop v. State, 271 Ga. 291 (1997).  Todd Johnson obtained a reversal of Bishop's murder conviction in the Georgia Supreme Court, leading to a successful new trial for Bishop.

 

 Burger v. Cagle's, U.S.D.C. N.D.Ga.,No. 4:98-CV-0246-HLM summ. aff. at 260 F.3d 627 (11th Cir. 2001)   Cynthia Johnson defended the Burger verdict against Cagle's and an order granting her enhanced fees.  After her argument, an eleventh circuit panel summarily affirmed the verdict. Burger was a case brought by a poultry grower who was wrongfully terminated by the company which had supplied his birds.
